The helmet used in this WWII relic lamp is a genuine Soviet SSh-40, recovered from Stalingrad.
The tripwire mine is a genuine WWII Soviet POMZ-2 (inert), recovered from Latvia. The detonator is a replica I made using part of a .50 calibre bullet casing.
A genuine WWII Soviet High Command brass belt buckle has also been incorporated into the design.
The base is made from aluminium, steel and bronze, with the steel gear finished in black Cerakote.
As much rust as possible has been removed from the relics while preserving their original character. Any remaining rust can be kept in check with the occasional application of Renaissance Wax or beeswax. Information on relic care will be provided with the lamp.
The lamp is supplied with a three-mode LED flame-effect bulb: solid, flame and pulse. Turn the lamp off and quickly back on to cycle through the modes. The bulb operates on 80–240 volts, making it suitable for use worldwide.
All exposed metal parts of the lamp are connected to earth/ground for electrical safety. The lamp has been professionally wired and has passed a UK PAT electrical safety test.
The lamp is supplied with a UK three-pin plug. Buyers outside the UK will receive a plug adaptor so the lamp can be used straight away. However, changing the plug to the appropriate type for your country is recommended when convenient.
Worldwide Shipping included.
Buyers outside the UK please see shipping section for import duty info.
